KC Fashion Week: Saturday Night

Folks--my coverage of KC Fashion Week's Spring/Summer '18 season is quickly coming to an end. I'm back today with a recap of the final night of runway shows. But first, here's what I wore!

For the final night, I went with a classic glam look. I wore a feminine off-the-shoulder lace dress with nude strappy heels, oversized "diamond" earrings, and a gold clutch. I absolutely LOVED this look and I think it was my favorite from this round of Fashion Week!

Now on to the designers!

Barbara Bultman:

Barbara Bultman had one of my favorite collections at Fashion Week last season, so I was very happy to see these designs back on the runway! Bultman used a lot of coral, cream, and navy, which made for some fun spring color combinations!

eNVe Designs:

This was a nature-inspired collection and probably my favorite of the night. The use of literal greenery (in hair and on shoes) made the whole line feel so fresh and vibrant.

Ethel and Dean:

This kids' collection was inspired by the movie "Hook," so it was whimsical and fun. You can see the influence of Lost Boys, pirates, and fairy princesses!

Joshua Christensen:

I've seen Joshua Christensen's designs at several Fashion Weeks before, but I thought this was the most visionary collection I've seen from him. The use of studded glasses and masks was super interesting!

Lucia's Sarto:

Lucia's Sarto is another KC Fashion Week favorite--I think she's had a collection at every Fashion Week I've been to. I loved the use of not only gorgeous gowns, but also some FIERCE jumpsuits and pantsuits!

Maria Behnen:

This was a Cuban-inspired collection and it was SO fun! The colors, the flowers, the vintage updos--everything made me smile!

Masisa:

I would characterize this line as "sleek and chic." I have never seen Masisa on the KCFW runway but I thought this collection was absolutely AMAZING!

Queen's Rocket:

I thought the pants/shorts in this collection were really cool--I loved the high-waisted ones with stripes the most!
