CM Remix: Nautical Wedges

I feel like I've done a lot of dresses/skirts for my Clothes Mentor Remix posts, so this month I wanted to pick a statement shoe to style for y'all! When I saw these adorable color block wedges from Tommy Hilfiger, I immediately knew that I wanted to remix them!

These wedges are great for the summer because they're not too tall, so you can wear them even to events where you'll be walking around. Also, the navy/cream/taupe color combo goes with just about anything! I styled these versatile wedges for both a professional and a casual scenario,

Professonal:

The first thing I thought of when I saw them was "colorful pants." Since the colors in the shoes are all neutral, they play very well with bright summer colors (and--spoiler alert for the casual outfit--prints!) So I found these fun hot pink pants, a lace shell, and a Coco-Chanel-esque jacket! I also found a pretty taupe bag to match the taupe in the shoes.

I'd like to apologize for these photos--I had some technical difficulties and didn't realize how out of focus they were until I got home and uploaded them to my computer. But you get the gist of the outfit!

Casual:

What I was going for with this outfit was "summer picnic." I found a coral plaid shirtdress that reminds me of something out of the 1960s, and styled it with fun round sunnies and a mint statement necklace! I love how the navy in the wedges looks with the coral and mint.
