Style Profile: Selah

Hello, my lovely readers! Today's Style Profile is brought to you by Selah at A Bibliophile's Style. Selah is one of my first and closest blog friends, and I'm so excited for y'all to read what she's put together for you!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi! I'm Selah and I blog about personal style and books over at A Bibliophile's Style. Every Tuesday I do Top Five Tuesday, so I figured I'd give y'all a taste of that with the top five adjectives that describe my personal style. 1. Classic. I tend to pin lots of classic, preppy clothing, and my fashion icons are Audrey Hepburn and Jackie O. You can't get more classic than that. ;)

2. Casual. My mother never dressed me in frilly dresses as a child. My adult life has transitioned from college student, to a very casual office, to being a SAHM (stay at home mom). Even my church is casual - my pastor usually wears jeans (pressed jeans, but still).

3/8/14

3. Geeky. I have quite a few graphic tees and accessories that loudly proclaim my geekiness, but honestly, it goes much deeper. I wear Converse sneakers partially because I'm drawn to their classic, casual style (see what I did there?), but mostly because they are the preferred footwear of my beloved Tenth Doctor. There is something about the inherent fun of geekiness that deeply affects my personal style.

4. Purple. Purple just works with my coloring. Every shade, from lavender to plum, just works. I've embraced purple as my signature color.

4/5/14

5. Patterned. Until recently, I rarely wore anything patterned. I believed that solids mixed & matched better, so in an effort to be frugal, I only bought solids. Mondo Guerra, of Project Runway fame, opened my eyes to the amazing possibilities of patterned pieces and pattern mixing. I haven't looked back!
