Color Me Tuesday: Cayenne

Welcome back to the seventh segment of Color Me Tuesday! In case you forgot, this is a collection of ways to wear the colors from the Pantone Color Report for Spring 2014.

Previous posts in this series:
Jan. 14: Placid Blue
Jan. 21: Violet Tulip
Jan. 28: Hemlock
Feb. 4: Paloma
Feb. 11: Sand
Feb. 18: Freesia

The color I'm looking at today is Cayenne. It's a red-pink-coral type color. It's actually one of the colors I chose for my room, so I really do love it and I'm excited to see it everywhere this spring.

These pieces get me excited to break out more of my coral this spring! I really like those wedges (as if I don't have enough suede wedges already.)

How will you wear Cayenne this spring?

I love coral but orange generally doesn't work with my skintone, so I stick to wearing it on the bottom half. Thankfully, coral looks fabulous with neutrals and my beloved purple!

    1. Oh that's such a good idea, Stephanie! It would be a bold lip color but I might just have to try that out! Thanks for stopping by! :)

  4. I really like these posts on Tuesday. I've checked out this site about the spring colors. Actually got the orchid color of nail polish in my ipsy this month. When I get a little time, I want to spend some time thinking about the spring wardrobe using these colors.

    1. Thanks so much for the feedback, Carrie! I sometimes wonder if this series is super pointless and if anybody actually cares about this topic, so it's super encouraging to hear that. And yeah I'm actually thinking about doing a wrap-up post/possibly linkup where I put together a real life outfit featuring these colors! Thanks for stopping by!

    3. Oh that is so great to hear, Selah! My biggest fear is organizing something like that and NOBODY participates. Like not one person. So that makes me happy! :)

    4. Having just launched a link up, I completely understand that fear - I was confident Maricel could drum up some support (she has 400-500 followers), but I wasn't sure if I could get participation. Lo and behold, I got you! :)

  6. I love this series. What an awesome rainbow of colors! I will definitely be checking out the previous posts. Cayenne isn't really a part of my current wardrobe but now I'm inspired to add a few touches of this beautiful red.

    xo Always, Abby

  9. I have a colour business where I shoe clients which colours suit their skin. Thie colour suits warm and clear skin tones that can take a strong colour. Love the skirt and dress above!
