Color Me Tuesday: Placid Blue

I've decided to introduce a new series called Color Me Tuesday. This is inspired by the seasonal Pantone color report. The report for Spring 2014 was recently released, and although it's still winter, by the end of the series, it'll be spring! Spring styles will be hitting stores soon, so for me, the inspiration starts now!

I'm not much of a trend follower--I'm all about classic, timeless pieces. But I like to pepper in pieces that are on-trend. Then, I can combine those trendy pieces in with the wardrobe staples I already have to complete the look!

Additionally, the pieces in this series run the spectrum, price-wise. I completely understand that nobody can really afford most designer items. Although I included some wallet-friendly options, these pieces are more for inspiration than things I actually intend to buy. I often draw inspiration from high-end pieces to create a more affordable look on my own. I included the links for everything, though, in case something catches your eye!

Here goes nothing!

The first feature color on Pantone's color report is Placid Blue. It's a gorgeous, pastel blue color that fits in really nicely with spring pastels.

4) Zara coat
7) H&M bag

I'm in love with that skater dress! It would be so great for Easter or a spring wedding. And bows add a little something to any outfit.

How will you wear Placid Blue this spring?
